Nehemiah

Nehemiah 8:18

Also day by day, from the first day unto the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day was a solemn assembly, according unto the ordinance.

Nehemiah was written about 430 BC. And Ezra is credited as the author while using some of Nehemiah's memoirs. Themes that are in Nehemiah are relevant today. God answers prayer. Takes interest in people's lives. God works his plans through world rulers. God is patient and forgives sin. People must work together and share their resources for the Church to flourish. Even with overwhelming odds God's will prevails. God never forgets about his people when they stray away from him. God is always welcoming his repentant children back to him.
