Job 42:2

I know that thou canst do all things,
And that no purpose of thine can be restrained.
The author's name is never given. Job was estimated to be written about 1800 B.C. Suffering is the main theme of the book. We are told that God is the highest law in the universe and His reasons are known only to him. War is raging between the forces of good and evil and Satan sometimes inflicts suffering on humans. God’s motives are pure, although we will not always understand and we have no right to give God orders.
